| Interactive Workshops with Students:
Visual History |
The Film-Viewing workshop planned as an annual feature of SPARROW,
were conceived as an effort to reach out to young people to
understand how they receive popular films. The workshops were
attempts to explore the links between life as they experience
it and as it is presented in the popular films and to provide
them an opportunity to articulate their way of experiencing
a film. Each workshop was structured around a particular theme
or a set of ideas which they have to contend with in their everyday
life. A short report was brought out based on the discussions
held in the workshop and on the experience of conducting the
workshop.
SPARROW held two such workshops in 1997 and 1998. |
